1. Security

Linux tends to be a highly reliable and secure system than any other operating systems (OS). Linux and Unix-based OS have fewer security flaws, as the code is reviewed by a huge number of developers constantly. And anyone has access to its source code. So, you won’t need any anti-virus software to protect your PC from malware and viruses. The reason it’s secure because it’s open-source, which means you can see its source code. As a result, bugs in the Linux OS will fix rapidly compared to other OS.

To understand the terminologies properly, I will take a simple binary classification problem. Let’s say, our dataset contains the product reviews of an e-commerce website. Each review has a label, either positive (1) or negative (0). Our task is to classify whether a review is positive or negative. Let’s assume, using different NLP techniques, we have made a good/bad model that can predict the labels somehow. For example, the below CSV file snap is the sample of our actual and predicted labels after the prediction that our model made.

1. Frustration

If you see codes and apps that look super complicated, and makes you depressed that you are not that skilful, then please remember those who develops such complex apps have practised decades to produce such kind of apps. All you need is stick to the learning process and make yourself a better version than the previous day. The difference between a master and a beginner is well utilized time.

You will make mistakes. Just don’t be ashamed. We will have buggy apps, and that is normal. Even products that come from Google,/Apple/Facebook engineering team have are not bug-free. SpaceX rockets…

Very deep neural networks with a huge number of parameters are very robust machine learning systems. But, in this type of massive networks, overfitting is a common serious problem. Learning how to deal with overfitting is essential to mastering machine learning. The fundamental issue in machine learning is the tension between optimization and generalization. Optimization refers to the process of adjusting a model to get the best performance possible on the training data (the learning in machine learning), whereas generalization refers to how well the trained model performs on the data that it has never seen before (test set). The…

imread()

For reading an image from the disk, you can use imread() function. It accepts two parameters. First one is the image path, second one is a flag where you can specify the way you want to read the image. If you don’t specify the flag, then it will read the image as cv2.IMREAD_COLOR which is the default.

image = cv2.imread("your/image/path")

If you want to read the image in gray-scale format, then add the second parameter as 0.

image = cv2.imread("your/image/path", 0)

cvtColor()

This function is used to convert one color space to other color spaces. Right now, in OpenCV, there are…

Lambda

A function doesn’t have any name. Is it possible? Yes, it is possible and these nameless functions are called Lambda functions. Lambda functions are known as the anonymous functions in Python. This kind of functions are declared without any name. It is used to create small functions.

Basic Syntax: lambda arguments : expression

These functions:

  • Can accept any number of argument.
  • Restricted to only a single expression.
  • Used only one-time.
  • Lambda function is used when you need a function for a short period of time.

Map

Map is a built-in function that takes a function object and iterable list (list/dictionary)…
